Season for Ballooning
Windward operate flights over the Avon Valley from April to late November. Regrettably the hot and windy summer weather in Western Australia is not safe for ballooning. During the season we schedule flights every Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday at dawn with no minimum number of passengers required. On Tuesday and Thursday we will schedule a flight once we have our minimum number of passengers confirmed. If want a specific date that we do not have a flight already scheduled, we would waitlist you pending more enquiries. The only day we do not fly is Wednesday which is our pilots official rostered day off to comply with CASA’s strict duty time limitations for pilots.

When making a reservation our office will need to know the weights of the passengers in your party and if anyone in your party has had recent injury or surgery, or is pregnant. Payment in full is required once you have made a reservation and can be made by credit card (Mastercard or Visa), direct deposit, or Australia Post Money Order.
Group Bookings & Special Occasions
A mixed fleet of balloons and baskets and a team of pilots allow Windward to cater for both small and large groups. Our smaller baskets have the capacity to carry up to 10 passengers for those who would like to charter the balloon exclusively, making them perfect for wedding ceremonies and other special occasions. Our larger balloons and baskets can carry up to 20 passengers making them ideal for corporate and social group bookings. Cancellation Policy
Hot air ballooning is a weather dependent activity. Occasionally strong winds or heavy rain can result in flights being cancelled. Should your your flight be cancelled due to unsafe weather please contact our office and they can assist you to rebook your flight.
